Lots to see and do between the displays, the mounds and chief's hut, the trails, gift shop, and goldfish pond! The kids and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
Amazingly well preserved archaeology site. There is a self-guided tour that takes you around the grounds or you can walk up a couple of the Mounds to get an overview of the complex. The museum is very well put together it has a lot of information and interesting artifacts. The staff is very nice and willing to help you out. The University of Alabama has done an excellent job of preservation and informing the public about Native Americans in the past.
This place has a nice museum and is a great place to go for any archeology or Native American prehistory enthusiast.
Stumbled upon this museum on way home from a camping trip taking an alternate route. Very impressive museum with Indian artifacts.
With a trip! Amazing historical site, well-maintained grounds with an interesting museum full of native pottery and informative exhibits.
