This is a nice place to visit, but if you are visiting to fish, it may not be for you. The access to the water needs to be greatly improved, and fish attractors (such as fallen trees) need to be added along the shoreline in accessible areas. The grass is often high and if you don't spray yourself really well, you will be covered in ticks. I've never really had much luck fishing here so I make the much longer drive to the Bibb County Lake which is set up much nicer with better water access.
Really enjoyed our stay. We finally found a park that had nothing wrong. The sites are spacious and well thought out. The restrooms are well maintained and there is lots to do. This was a very peaceful place. We were only going to stay for 2 days, but ended up staying for a week. We will be back.
Always LOVE camping there and going there for easter! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! So peacfull and quiet! I hear rumors of gators but never see any lol. Love getting to kick back and enjoy the lake view, going fishing, going swimming, etc. One of my favorite spots!
Grew up going to this lake. Restrooms are like port a potties, gross. We had a great time nonetheless.
Always loved spending summers here as a child! Now I love taking my children and sharing with them this beautiful place that I so enjoyed!
